Micro is a project management platform for people and teams who want to be productive without having to focus on productivity, “organized so you don’t have to be”. An ai-powered, all-in-one, life/business organizer.

Despite featuring the expected rainbow outlined input fields, geometric patterns, and random 3d shapes that everything even remotely involving AI seems to utilize, they’ve constructed a digital experience that is interesting and engaging—even on mobile. What feels so compelling about their website is the world building, it feels like micro exists in a world that I can only describe as optimistic futurism, balancing the previously mentioned geometric patterns and shapes with fantasy-like nature scenes. (While I wish there was mention of what they’re doing to offset AI’s enormous impact in an effort to preserve nature rather than just creating presumably AI-generated images of it, we’re here to talk about the website so I’ll try to stay focused on that. Plus, benefit of the doubt: they haven’t publicly launched yet, so maybe their plan of action will come then, fingers crossed!)

Equally as compelling are the interactions. While the desktop site is obviously more robust and the interactions even more cohesive, a mobile site with interactions that are this engaging and that actually works is surprisingly hard to come by. Including video demonstrations of features in action is a cool way to ‘show not tell’, especially when visitors are likely checking out competitors sites and seeing similar features listed out over and over again.

When visiting mircro’s website, you’re not sure exactly what’s going to happen next and I think that’s a really special thing.
