Is it time for a new website?

A lot goes into this decision, but at the same time it’s pretty simple. If you’re considering it, it probably means it’s at least time for an update. Here’s a few things to consider:

  1. Is your current website super easy to navigate?

I mean super easy. Walking through a grocery store trying to find your contact info or placing a quick order on the train home after a long day at work. Reducing friction and making it easy for people to do the things you want them to do is the goal.

  2. Does it reflect your current brand & goals?

If your site was designed by your cousins friend in 2016 when you had the idea to start a business and wanted to get your name out there, it probably isn’t up to the task of your 2025 goals to scale into retail or attract and vet leads.

  3. Is it built for mobile?

A website that simply works on mobile isn’t cutting it anymore, these days the majority of users are accessing websites from mobile devices (phones, iPads, etc.) in just about every industry so your site should operate accordingly!

  4. Are you impressed with the results it delivers?

At the end of the day a website can look absolutely amazing, but if it’s not delivering it doesn’t matter. What “delivering” means depends on what your goals are— it might mean getting more eyes on your offerings, more sign ups for your email list, or more bookings.

  5. Are you proud of it?

Like can’t-stop-talking-about-it showing anyone and everyone who will listen. If it just ‘gets the job done’, it probably doesn’t! This might be the most important question of all because it reduces the friction of introducing your brand to your potential customers, excitedly sharing your website with a potential customer goes a lot farther than the classic “well our website isn’t that great, but our product is! Trust me!!”
